The purpose of this policy is to ensure the timely collection of items by customers and to provide a clear protocol for handling items that remain unclaimed beyond the stipulated timeframe.
Items left with LIMA COMPUTER that are not collected within the allocated timeframe will be considered abandoned and will be processed as per the guidelines detailed in this policy.
Upon completion of service or repair, LIMA COMPUTER will notify the customer via phone, email, or text message. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that they provide accurate and reachable contact information.
Customers are expected to collect their items within 10 days of being notified of the completion of service.
Customer agrees to retrieve their device within 10 calendar days from the date of notification that service is complete. A 3-day grace period will be provided. If the device is not picked up within this timeframe, it will be subject to additional fees or disposal procedures.
Pursuant to Ohio common law and possessory lien principles, any device that remains unclaimed for more than 30 calendar days after the completion notification will be deemed legally abandoned property. Once a device is abandoned, Limaq Computer reserves the right to take any of the following actions to recover unpaid balances, labor costs, and storage fees:
If the item is not collected within 10 days, a final reminder will be sent to the customer via [ phone, email, or text message]. . The customer will have [ "3 additional days"] from the date of the final reminder to collect their item.
If the item remains unclaimed after the final reminder period, LIMA COMPUTER reserves the right to:
Devices not picked up within 13 calendar days of the completion notification (the 10-day deadline plus the 3-day grace period) will incur a storage fee of $2.00 per day until retrieved. All outstanding repair balances and accrued storage fees must be paid in full before the device is released to the Customer.
LIMA COMPUTER shall not be liable for any damage, loss, or data loss occurring to abandoned items. By leaving their item beyond the stipulated collection period, customers forfeit any claim or right to the abandoned item.
Customer explicitly agrees that prior to any sale, salvage, or disposal of an abandoned device, the business will permanently wipe, format, or physically destroy all hard drives and data storage media to protect privacy. The Lima Computer is not liable for the loss of any data, software, or personal files on abandoned devices.
In unique circumstances, if a customer anticipates a delay in collecting their item, they must communicate with LIMA COMPUTER'S management before the end of the 10-day period to make special arrangements.
